This one counts for three days. My student Jacob who has cancer asked if I would be interviewed for a news story about him and his project he's doing for my class. I agreed, but must admit I was terrified about being interviewed on camera. I just kept telling myself, "I'm doing this for Jacob. It's not about me."
The first day, we tried to record the interview, we had some technical difficulties. It ended up being a blessing for me because it took away all my jitters, but Jacob was disappointed.
The second day, we recorded and it went well. I was glad to not have to worry about it anymore. The students thought it was cool that the reporter came to our class!
Last night, they aired the video. Here's the link: UNC-Charlotte Student Fights Cancer and Inspires Others. I am so proud of Jacob and the work he is doing!
